Spendro Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be at least the age of majority in your province or territory to use Spendro.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and to keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or our policies.

2. Licence to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Spendro for your personal, non-commercial purposes on supported devices. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service;
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code;
• Use the Service for unlawful or unauthorized purposes;
• Resell, rent, or sub-licence the Service or any part thereof.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Spendro.

3. Logos and Third-Party Trademarks

Spendro may display logos or brand marks from third-party companies (e.g., Apple, Netflix, Amazon) to help users create or identify categories.

• All logos and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
• Spendro is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies.
• Logos are shown for identification and convenience purposes only.
• You must ensure you have the right to upload or use any third-party logo.
• If a rights holder requests removal, Spendro will act promptly.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of your data (inputted transactions, notes, tags, etc.) but grant us a non-exclusive licence to store and process it for the purpose of operating the Service. You are responsible for any content you submit and agree not to upload illegal, infringing, or offensive material. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Fees and Subscriptions

Certain features may require payment or subscription. Pricing, plans, and billing terms will be clearly displayed within the Service. We may change pricing or plans from time to time. If you continue using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the new terms. All fees are charged in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of Spendro is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of personal information as described therein.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Spendro is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You use it at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spendro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (in the 12 months preceding the claim) or CAD 50, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

You may stop using Spendro and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or for any reason we deem appropriate. Upon termination, certain sections (such as Liability and Intellectual Property) shall survive.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted in-app and on our website. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
